Eddie Roberts

What I teach: Guitar, Piano & Drums

Hi I'm Eddie and I am co-founder of Greenhouse Music Group. Growing up I fell in love for all thing rock and metal which unsurprisingly transformed into a passion for playing the guitar.

When I was a teenager I had an amazing teacher called Mike. This completely changed my life and allowed me to develop into the musician and person I am today. My tutor became a great role model for me and taught me valuable life skills along the way such as creativity, perseverance and  discipline. He inspired me to go on to study Music at Leeds Conservatoire.

Through my studies, I explored other genres such as jazz, funk and pop which expanded many horizons. This is where I found my passion for sharing music with others. I was involved in lots of bands and there was nothing like it! The joy of being able to share music with others inspired me to start working on a music school.

Since graduating, I have taught over 500 students in 1-1, group and full class settings, and made it my mission to ensure the next generation. I also still regularly play in a function band, Avalanche.

I have a friendly and personable approach to my teaching, creating a safe environment where my students can make mistakes and discover the world of music.

I have made so many great friends through my musical endeavours and we strive to create an environment where it's not just about the music.

Ollie Green

What I teach: Saxophone, Clarinet & Piano

Hi I'm Ollie and I am a co-founder of Greenhouse Music Group and have been playing for 17 years. I am originally from Nottingham but moved up to Leeds to study at Leeds Conservatoire.

I began learning the clarinet at age 9, and at 14, I made the big jump to saxophone. Over the past 12 years, I have played in a wide range of bands and projects, meeting some incredible people along the way.

A lifelong love of jazz was sparked when I was playing in the Nottingham Youth Orchestra and we embarked on a tour that included the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Alongside jazz, I enjoy listening to classical and electronic music - and everything in between!

Connection with others through music is a massive part of the experience for me. I love the process of helping others build their own relationship with music and experiencing the same joy of playing and connection that I have had.

Eve Walker

What I teach: Piano & Flute

Hello! I’m Eve and I am a flute and piano teacher, and a backing track producer for Greenhouse Music Group.

Music has always been part of my life, as I was lucky enough to grow up with a guitarist for a dad. I taught myself piano at six years old and began flute lessons at around eight. As a quiet and nervous child, the thought of performing in front of people (let alone in a large ensemble) was terrifying! But thanks to my dad, who encouraged me to face those fears and join orchestras and wind bands, I now have some of my favourite childhood memories, such as touring with Haringey Youth Symphony Orchestra to both Peru and Finland, where I made some great friends.

Playing piano has also opened the door to band work and has become a fun and useful tool for songwriting and production, allowing me to create backing tracks and record my own music.

Learning instruments has given me so many opportunities, and working with Greenhouse Music Group now allows me to pass those skills on to the next generation which is something I’m incredibly grateful for.
